Krupa tested three low-cost HD camcorders: 1: Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD100 2: DXG 569V Silver Ultra-Slim 3 HD: Aiptek Action HD GVS 1080P to give you some basic information. My primary objects for the video of family and pets. I use iMovie for video editing Studio8. I have experience with other consumer HD cams like the Canon HF100 Panasonic SD100 and once in a class of higher prices. For photos I use a Canon G9 and have evaluated the ability of the images of those tested. The main reason to consider the three cams are price, convenience and, above all, the ease of file format. For now I say no thanks to the video in AVCHD format. For my review I used the following criteria: quality of the music video format of the video quality of the sound field focus being ease of speed and quality of the product life cycle battery first use until the summer. . Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD100: the format of the video clips: - MP4-playing cell phone immediately provided on both Mac and PC, you have the QT interval and strong graphics card. Played at once on the PS3 Video Quality: - Good image quality, but generates the light / dark transitions to high contrast, and the whites were exaggerated. Unfortunately, the autofocus to focus disaster was no apparent reason and without loose change in the scene. It often took several swings camera zooms in to focus to win again. Sound quality: - acceptable background noise with a low standard. Field of view: - very close (much as in 40-45mm in 35mm enlarged.) ) The speed of the strategy: - a disaster, could not stay focused, even when on the stand in front of a sense of scene and also the quality - feel good, a little weak, as evidenced by the port cover total camera is not stellar design easy to use: - on a design very uncomfortable (not to be picky here) that I often found myself in the menu to try to start recording with small hands. Battery: - very little time with the camera to really evaluate. Review: The camera focuses primarily by subject and field of view. Next in line ... DXG 569V Silver Ultra-Slim HD video clips: -. MOV - play on Mac and PC provided you have a graphics card QT and strong. Unfortunately, the conversion requires the use of the PS3. The quality of the video - quite acceptable for this price class, not so bright light functions as above but better and better was Sanyo transitions between light and shadow on the Sanyo. Sanyo slightly lower overall quality. Sound quality: - no whistle, but weak and distant at shortstop, the only acceptable view - considered acceptable. About 35-38mm (35mm Equiv .. and about even with many digital cameras) Approach speed: - the camera has autofocus, but the focus was fixed very acceptable, provided that the items had at least 3 'away. The macro mode worked very well and the switch is conveniently located for a rapid change in the pan around a room to move in a detailed analysis of an object. Feeling and product quality: - I was very attracted to this camera for its form factor, and the general feeling. Ergonomic, he was the best of the three cameras, had a quality feel and finish of the same class and a large third Light "screen is visible from most angles. Buttons are conveniently located relief accident. LED on the front was incredibly bright, but that interviews have been a great little camera for low light situations, if not for the bad sound. Ease of use: - easy to use, easy menu, but sometimes the menu items required a second press to accept a setting Battery life: - to assess some time with the camera, so really, but it seemed too short. Conclusion: I would probably have kept this model, but not after three days use the SD card, spring mechanism that makes the camera unusable. I looked again for the same model.
