Customer reviews more useful for 219 213 people found the following review helpful. So far so good, was shot seven months ago and love it! By A. Krupa tested three HD video cameras cost: 1: Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD100 2: DXG 569V Silver Ultra Slim HD-3: Aiptek Action HD GVS 1080P To give you some information for reference. My primary objects for video are the family and pets. I use iMovie and video editing Studio8. I have experience with other consumer cameras like the Canon HF100 HD SD100 and Panasonic, both in a class of higher prices. Photos for me to use a Canon G9 and therefore did not assess the ability of photos of people tested. My main reasons to consider the three chambers are price, convenience, ease and most important file format. For now I say no thanks to the AVCHD video format. For my analysis, I used the following criteria: Video clip quality video format of the sound field of view of quality Feel the speed of approach and quality products of battery life Easy one first: .. Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD100: Video Clip Format: - MP4-very convenient, just play on Mac and PC since you have a graphics card QT and strong. He also played once in the quality of videos of PS3: - Good image quality, but the transitions from light / dark contrast was too high and whites have been exaggerated. Unfortunately, the autofocus was a disaster to lose focus for no apparent reason and without change in scenery. Often had several changes of camera zoom and a refocusing of the profits. Sound quality: - acceptable, with low-level hiss in the background. Field of view - very close (very extended in a 40-45mm in 35mm equiv.) ) Focus speed - a catastrophe, could not even focus when on the stand for a stationary scene, feel and quality of the product: - okay feeling a bit thin, as evidenced by the overall port security camera is a great design Ease of use - buttons in a very challenging layout (not picky here), I often found myself in the menu to try to start recording with small hands. Battery life - too little time with the camera to really evaluate. Review: The camera went back primarily due to the focus question and the visual field. Next in line ... DXG 569V Silver Ultra Slim HD Video formats: -. MOV - played directly on Mac and PC provided the QT and a strong video card. Unfortunately, the required conversion for PS3 use. The quality of the video - very acceptable for this price, not as sharp as the above Sanyo and better low-light features and improved transitions between light and dark on the Sanyo. Generally slightly lower quality than the Sanyo. Quality of Sound: - In no hiss, but too weak and far less acceptable field of view: - acceptable estimate. Approximately 35-38mm Speed Focus (35mm & also as with many digital cameras, picture frames.): - This camera has autofocus, but the real focus was very acceptable, as long as objects are removed at least 3 '. The macro mode worked fine, and the switch was conveniently located for a quick settlement when panning around a room to move in a precise analysis of an object. Feel the quality of the product: - I was very, this camera for its form-factor character and feel a whole. Ergonomically, it was the best of the three cameras, it was like to feel that their quality and displayed in its price class and a very nice 3 "screen, it was from most angles done. Buttons was very conveniently located relieve margin. LED on the front was incredibly bright, it would be a great little camera for low light situations, interviews have been if it were not for the bad sound. Ease of use: - very easy to use, menu layout is good, but sometimes the menu items required a boost to accept a second battery option: - too little time with the camera, but it proved to give a true and too short. Verdict: I probably would have kept this model, however, after three days with a spring mechanism of the SD card does not make the camera inoperable. I mentioned to reorder the same model.
