Our Sony TRV19 video camera does not record anymore, so we have a new JVC Everio HD camcorder HM200, but needed to transfer video from Sony MiniDV tapes to your computer. This process only works with this type of cable, not USB. I'm halfway through the transfer of bands right now works perfectly. Set the camera to VCR (for playback) and iMovie 09 found set rewinds the tape for you and everything imports fine. This cable saves 10 hours of memories for us.
