The card is an amazing value for all you're getting, so I placed my order 6/4/07. Opted for standard shipping and it arrived 2 days later - can't beat that. When I hooked it up, the USB ports worked perfectly, but I couldn't recognize the firewire ports. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting and trying to install drivers even though I thought I wouldn't need updated drivers on my XP system. Finally, I saw the one review on here by FlyersFan about how the firewire cable shipped with the card didn't work. I've never had a problem with using cheap, no-name cables before, so I gave it a 1% chance of working, but I went to Staples and got a Belkin firewire cable. BINGO!!! It worked. Afterwards, I checked both ports and trying wiggling around the cheapo cable shipped with the card, and in every scenario, the cheapo cable didn't work and the Belkin did Thank you so much FlyersFan for posting about your need to get a new cable! Many people have had no complaints with the card and cable, but clearly a significant number of the cables shipped out with this card are fatally defective. I give the package 3 stars because I really like having 2 firewire ports and 3 USB 2.0 ports on one PCI card for less than $20. Great By Ospreyguy This is a great combo 2.0 USB port and firewire. It serves the purpose of providing 3 usb ports and 2 firewire ports and it came with a firewire cable!
